Comm Academy has ended

Comm Academy 2021 is a free, virtual training conference for anyone interested in learning more about emergency communications. Taking place April 10th and 11th, 2021, Comm Academy will be organized around the theme “Disasters Here, There and Everywhere – Are We Ready?”

As it has in all of its 22+ previous iterations, the conference will feature expert speakers on a wide variety of topics, from technologies to techniques to tales from the “trenches.”

This presentation will provide an inside look into how the State of Oregon supported emergency communications during the 2020 Labor Day Fires and the COVID-19 Pandemic. Topics will include lessons learned, the need for resilient emergency communications, training, and the incorporation of all-hazards communications responders in incident response.
